On Saturday September 17, 2016, the 16th Annual Native American Music Award's (Native American equivalent to the GRAMMY's) was held at the Seneca Alegany Resort and Casino in New York.  On this day, 1 of the 5 finalist's in each of the 27 musical categories was to be announced as the winner.  I am truly humbled to announce, that I am the 2016 Native American Music Award winner for the Best Male Vocalist.  That's correct, WE did it!!  I want to thank you for your votes, your great words and especially your continued support.  THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!

The purpose of the #iamHUMAN℠ project is to take the audience through a brief but most memorable account of yourself as a unique and one of a kind individual, acknowledging our foundational interconnectedness that WE ARE ALL HUMAN!

PROPHECY

I am currently in discussion with a production company, to coheadline a tour of the Pacific Northwest in early 2017.  This tour is currently proposed to include Oregon, Washington and Idaho.  Numerous legalities need to be finalized, but if booked an audience will see many elements of my stage production PROPHECY.  

PROPHECY features various native dances, uplifting vocals, thunderous drumming, flutes music and original Native American stories.  This captivating program will have the audience soaring through the sight and sounds. The program will convey the very foundation of “balance in life” with messages of unity, peace and equality.

Circling Spirits

This album presents a collection of Apache songs that express his people’s sacred values.  With drums, dancers’ bells, whistles and vocals sung from the heart, Roman’s music acknowledges the spirits of the ancestors who sacrificed their lives, families and lands, so that their tribal  communities could endure. Driven by a vision of respect for all humanity, these songs from the Apache tradition are meant to touch the human soul in all of us.

"Dancing Spirits" features a rare paring of Apache singing and the world-renowned flute artistry of R. Carlos Nakai.  Nakai's Native American flute melodies seamlessly weave through the pulsing beat of Apache drum and vocals by Roman.

The song "Sacred Cave Song" features Roman joining in singing this classic San Carlos Apache song with the late Phillip Cassadore through the medium of recording technology.

Music Video

I was recently in the Canyon Records film studio to video record two videos.  The videos are for the songs "Warriors" and "Sacred Cave", both off the "Circling Spirits" album.  Additional outdoor scenes still need to recorded.  I will keep you all updated for the release dates.

Hello everyone,

I hope that you are well and in great spirits. The 2016 year has kept me very busy working on a personal film project, working on remixing some songs off the my Circling Spirits cd and various performances.

​

My new film project which will be released via social media very shortly.

​

I participated in many performances since January 2016.  The highlights of my performances were the 58th Annual Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair and Market (March 5 & 6, 2016) and the Verde Valley Archeology Fair and American Indian Fair and Art Show (March 19 & 20, 2016).  

​

My solo performance, Prophecy, is ready to be toured. This performance includes a foundation of traditional and contemporary Native American storytelling, song and dance. This foundation is intertwined with the prophecies of unity, equality and oneness of humanity. Hello,

I hope that you are well and in great spirits. The 2015 year has kept me very busy working on various projects that include a revamped website, film, music and performances.

I am super excited to announce my recent signing to Canyon Records (Canyon Records founded in 1958 in Phoenix, Arizona, producer and distributor of Native American music, is one of the oldest independent record labels in the music industry as well as one of the oldest cultural institutions in the state of Arizona). I have been busy recording a great album titled, Circling Spirits, that will include contemporary and traditional style Apache music. The album will have special guests like R. Carlos Nakai and the late Phillip Cassadore. Special remixed versions specifically for download on iTunes will also be available. The album is estimated to be released in the summer of 2015.

I have been busy filming a drama for television. This series will be broadcasted on cable and satellite in the Los Angeles area with about 4 million viewers and is titled Frontera Roja (Blood Border). It portrays the dark side and cruelty of humanity which include trafficking of human organs. I also booked a role in Centrifugal, a part of the Arizona 10 short films series. Arizona 10 short films is a collection of 10 short films that will take place and showing the various landscapes in Arizona. The filming for this series should begin in the summer of 2015. Finally I have been casted to another television series titled Big Sky. This series addresses the American frontier realities of slavery, bigotry, and greed, as well as the more desirable human qualities of forgiveness, hope, and the pursuit of dreams. With a classic, Bonanza-era feel, plentiful action, cliffhanger endings, and some comic relief, Big Sky’s varied cast of characters experience joy and heartache, life and death, failure and victory, all while exhibiting an indomitable will to persevere in the true pioneer spirit.
